Salon Owner & Therapist
Hi I'm Hannah & I am the proud owner of Touch of Beauty. I always dreamt of having my own salon and I am so glad I achieved that goal with the help of some very important people.
I have been in the Beauty Business for about 13 years now, having spent 2 years at college then being fortunate enough to work at a high end salon where I learnt so much & worked my way up to being a Senior Therapist & then Assistant Manager.
I really love the more holistic, hands on style of therapy & according to all my clients they love that too. I wanted my own salon to have those extra little touches that turn an appointment into an experience. Nothing is more satisfying then helping people to feel better about themselves.
I have done recent training in Reflexology & Aromatherapy Massage & also Dip & Buff Nail Treatment, also I updated my Pregnancy Massage knowledge. I think it's important to keep up to date with your knowledge.
They say things are meant to be & finding this location for the salon is an example of that. Everything fell into place & thanks to my partner & parents & a lot of hard work it is now the haven of peace & a place I love coming to work.
I mentioned my partner Ash, he worked so hard on the structure of both salons(with the massive help of my amazing dad too) & they have done a great job. He also puts up with me which is not always an easy job! We have our own little fur baby Inka, a cocker spaniel who we got as a puppy & is now over 3 years old. She occasionally accompanies me to the salon & with her beautiful puppy dog eyes she makes sure all my clients fall in love with her.
Ash and I are both members of a local Bonfire Society along with my mum & we love spending our Saturdays in October & November going out, getting dressed up & processing with a flaming torch at various different location. I love fireworks & its great standing by the bonfire watching them with my man & all our fellow Bonfire Boyes & Belles.
I also love taking photos of all sorts of things. Friends, family, Inka, fireworks, the farm, you name it I will take a photo.
Anyway that's me. All I can say is that taking the plunge & opening Touch of Beauty was the best thing for me & although it's hard work it is so satisfying to know I am doing a good job that helps people in so many ways. I feel so lucky & grateful to have this opportunity & for those around me that have helped me live my dream.
Hi, my name is Sue & first & foremost I am the proud Mum of Hannah, Touch of Beauty's owner & her big brother Matthew.
In a past life I was a florist for about 25 years but in more recent years I have worked in the Travel & Tourism sector & am now an Assistant Manager & Postmistress in a village Community Shop.
I like Hannah am a member of a local Bonfire Society & like nothing better then getting dressed up & walking round with a flaming torch & a hip flask of rum throughout October & November!
Since Hannah opened Touch of Beauty I have become more & more involved with the business & I am now really delighted that I can actually come to work with her in this wonderful place. Let's face it who wouldn't want to work in this amazing location.
My role will essentially be part time doing a range of things such a receptionist, admin/social media, tea/coffee making, laundry lady, dog sitter & anything else I can help with.
I have recently hit the study path & have gained VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology & a Basic Swedish Massage course. I have also been studying with the School of Natural Skincare & hold their Certificate in Making Natural Skincare Products & am now studying their Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulating.
It has been a privilege & a pleasure to watch Hannah taking what essentially were two very uninspiring & putting it bluntly, unappealing areas & turn them into the beautiful place that it is now & I can't wait to be part of it.
Touch of Beauty Apprentice
Hi my name is Sara, and I'm the new apprentice here at Touch of Beauty. I am thrilled to be a part of the team and am so happy to be working in such a lovely salon in an amazing location
I have recently finished 2 years of studying art at Hastings College and although loved every minute of it, now is the right time to move into something new.
I have always wanted to do something that makes people feel good about themselves, and feel like this is the perfect path to take. I am really interested in the more holistic side to beauty therapy as I know how beneficial it is for both mind and body.
I am so grateful for this opportunity and belive it was definitely meant to be and I look forward to meeting you all in the salon.

Touch of Beauty's Fur Baby
Hello I'm Inka & I am obviously the most important member of the team at Touch of Beauty.
I was born nearly 3 years ago & if I say so myself I was a very cute puppy. My posh kennel club name is Inka Coco Daydreamer. I am a working cocker spaniel (the working part is up for discussion).
I live with my mum & dad. I can wrap everyone round my little paw as I just give them that look. I do like chilling at the salon with mum & having a tummy rub from her lovely clients but I must admit I really love going to my doggy daycare & playing with all my friends. My human friends there seem to think I get up to mischief but I just call it natural curiosity.
Like I said I am meant to be a gundog not that I'm overkeen on guns but I do love going out with dad & I am doing great at finding & retrieving so who knows I could be a champion one day. However I like nothing more then a good cuddle after all that work. Just remember if you meet me at the salon tummy rubs are essential.
